Our curriculum provides hands-on, experiential learning outdoors. We emphasize:
Interconnectedness to each other and our ecological systems.
Using experimentation, hypothesis, and documentation.
Hiking, running, climbing, rolling downhill, dancing, and other gross motor skills.
Entering play, conflict resolution, self-regulation, and social thinking. We also work to nurture close relationships within the group so the children trust their teachers and listen to each other as a community.
Building with natural materials, art projects, studying insects, and more!
We read books every day and use rich language in our teaching.
We cultivate curiosity and appreciation for other cultures and traditions while building our own.
We teach benefit-risk analysis in play and exploration. We strongly encouraging autonomy with gear and a child-led interest curriculum.
